Care
Like any beloved object, Atelier VM jewels need to be treated with care. Here are some tips for preserving their shine.
Coral
In the presence of natural elements such as pearls, corals or enamel, we strongly advise avoiding contact with ammonia, perfume, creams and chlorine.
Stones
To clean settings (prongs, pavés, etc.), rub gently using a brush with natural bristles.
Gold
- Store the jewels separately in clean pouches or cases.
- When fitting open bangles and rings, ensure the piece doesn't break from applying excessive force.
- Store chains flat, extending and straightening them out to avoid knotting. If a chain become knotted, we recommend using a needle or contacting our stores.
- Jewellery may be cleaned using a special polishing cloth or simply warm water and mild soap. Alternatively, use a special immersion bath, then dry the jewel well with a soft cloth.
Enamel
- In the presence of natural elements such as pearls, corals or enamel, we strongly advise avoiding contact with ammonia, perfume, creams and chlorine.
L’Essenziale Collection
- The welded jewellery of the L’Essenziale collection needs to be cleaned regularly with a special polishing cloth.
- In general, these items require very little maintenance: simply try not to catch them in objects that could tear them or stretch the chain. If a L’Essenziale jewel is torn or cut for any reason, it is important to keep the chain so that we can re-weld it free of charge.
- Any threads that should get twisted around the L’Essenziale jewels may easily be removed with tweezers.
Cotton
- The cords of the fabric and gold bracelets can also be washed with mild soap and water; if worn from overuse, they can be replaced for a fee.
Pearls
- In the presence of natural elements such as pearls, corals or enamel, we strongly advise avoiding contact with ammonia, perfume, creams and chlorine.
